New Scissors!

Image from Hancockfabrics.com
I've been told by a few of my friends that Gingher scissors are some of the best around and that once I invest in them, I will never have to buy another pair of scissors. I didn't really have intentions of buying any as the pair I wanted/needed for making ferret bedding ran around $37 a pair!

Yesterday I managed to travel the 3 hours to the nearest Joann's fabric store to buy anti-pill fleece to match the cottons I have listed in the Upcoming Materials slide on The Vogue Ferret's store's main page. I had a 40% off coupon and went to put it towards the fleece, but they were already on sale, and the 40% off coupon excluded sale items. What was I supposed to do with a 40% off coupon? I planted myself in front of the Gingher scissors and drooled over them. If I used the coupon, I could get these almost $40 scissors for $22! It was too good of a deal to pass up. I caved and indulged in them.

Needless to say, they work amazing. They are heavy and really durable. I would bet money that my uncle's 18-wheeler could drive over these things and they would still cut. I tried them, and they cut through four layers of fleece like nobody's business. I am in love!
